Living at the house I’ve been at since I was born, after graduating from the UK. Being in Borneo is actually rather exotic now that I’ve been out of the country. People think that we’ve got orang utans hanging around. My house does have its own interesting myriad of wildlife, of which the most alarming one would probably be the monitor lizard that comes out from the bamboo clusters now and then. I love the occasional bat that comes in the house though. My city is a rather small place; almost everything is a 15 minute drive. Kuching has been reportedly voted ‘Cleanest City’ a few times but sometimes I wonder how we managed to win such a prestigious award.
