There are many issues on this topic that are of the utmost importance, however I believe that when teaching fire protection to young children, the best thing that they need to learn is how to get away from the danger and how to call the fire department. While this is a minimalistic lesson to teach the children, it will save the life of a child who is too young to understand the complicated way that fires are started or stopped and he or she will just be able to get away from danger and get help from an adult who can help.

Throwing my son a firefighter party

My son wants to me a firefighter when he grows up. Since my husbands father is a retired firefighter he comes over a lot now and plays with his grandson. When my son turned five, I decided to throw him a firefighter theme birthday party. I went to party city to pick up some items, I got the firefighter clothing for the kids and portable fire escape ladder so the kids can climb up and down. My father in-law was going to surprise him with some real life firefighters and trucks. The day of his birthday we went out the breakfast so my friends could set up. When we came home he was so excited and surprised, I think that was the best birthday party for him.

I disliked my first day of college. I did not know anyone as I had to move to a new city with my parents. Our first class revolved around fire safety and what to do in the event of a fire. I was frightfully embarrassed as the teacher practically made me hold the fire warden sign while demonstarting what to do. My face wad growing quite hot and some of the students found this highly amusing. I just wanted to drop the sign and run for my life. I think I must have been up the front for at least ten minutes. Finally I got to sit down. I think next time I will stay away from fire drills.

A Place To Put Them

I wanted to be the type of friend to play a joke, but not have someone hate me in the morning. It was only a matter of time before I got the perfect plan in mind to treat my friend for all the gags that they put on me. It was cruel for her to take my clothes at the lake last year and I was going to get her back if it was the last thing that I do. So I came up with a plan to put her things in the fire safe box because they would be safe there.

My dog was so anxious to use the bathroom that he did a strange thing. I live in the big city and the dogs have to improvise and mine did. He used the bathroom on a hydrant that was attached to fire hose couplings. I was so ashamed, but what was I suppose to do. I had no choice, but to allow him to do what he had to do. He is a great pet and he knows where he feels comfortable using the bathroom and I wasn’t going to take that from him. The fire man took it all in so well.

In one of my work places, it was important that we used fire resistant fire retardant on some items. I used to work on a paddle-steamer and the engine room as well as the galley were places in which fires could start easily. That’s why it was important to fire-proof as much of the equipment as possible. Of course, we also need all the necessary fire fighting gear on the paddle steamer. Just because we were going up and down on a river (i.e. surrounded by lots of water), this didn’t mean that we could just ignore the danger of fires. Safety always needed to come first because we needed to make sure that nothing would happen to our passengers.
