I recently shifted to Bangalore in India for my further studies. I was coming here for the first time and that didn’t give me much confidence. Since one of friend was living here since a few years ago, I had someone to rely on. I had to look for a place to stay and my friend helped me to find a place on rent. This is the place I am currently living; a single room with all necessties. But the environment around me is not so nice as I have no friends as well as familiar people to hang around sometimes. But the place I am living right now is a good place and I love it.

Last day, while I was returning from my college, it was rained so heavily in the middle of my way back to home. The rain just came out without any warnings and I could not save myself from getting wet. Since the rain did not keep its strength for a long time, I was just partly wet. But the sweat shirt that I was wearing fot badly wet. So I tried my level best to make sure that the shirt was dry by this morning. Unfortunately, the shirt was still slightly wet this morning. Since this shirt suited me well, I could not stop myself from wearing the shirt even if it was wet!

I would like to highlight here the need to have large fire extinguishers installed even at homes in India. Being an Indian I have lived here all my life and have seen drastic changes in lifestyles here over the period of 30 years, but when it comes to safety measures I don’t see much happening around it. Yes in offices, malls. Markets, hotels fire safety is of prime importance, but the residential houses do not have equipments to fight against fire. People do not look at it as something that we should be prepared for all the time as one never knows what could happen when. Even otherwise you might see a fire extinguisher placed in an office but how many people are there in the office who actually knows how to use it. It’s true, we do a lot of things for others to see that it’s done, but in reality is it actually operational. What is the use of equipment when the ones who are supposed to use it do not even know how to use it? Awareness is a must in this field, especially when lives are involved.

Today, people have become more selfish and arrogant. The understanding between the people is so weak today that everything is being claimed of authority. If I had a miracle in my hand, I would just correct the thought people. I would induce in them a sense of universal responsibility and make them realize that every living being is the same. I would let them know that all other living beings just wish for happiness as oneself. This miracle would really change the face of this world.

In this world, there are so many people belonging to the vast field of beliefs and faith. But the common thing among all these people is that they are all doing something for their survival. So no one is able to live so independly in this world today. We need to face a lot of challenges and set backs so that we are well alive. But to be a strong and successful man in this world, it is very important that we should be able to express ourselves in a confident way. Many people are inconfident and this leaves them unsuccessful and left of the competitive world around him or her.

My childhood had been a little too strict at the same time, it had been a little too careless. My father was not a literate man and my mother passed away so early. But there is something that appreciate about my childhood. My father would never let my hair grow even a little long. So he I would always be having a head very neatly shaved. This memory of my childhood keeps alive in me because this gave me a lot of victories in the fights I would indulge. Since I had no hair at all, there was nothing to be pulled when I pulled hard at their hairs. So this is one of my favourite childhood memories.

I am techniquely not at all good at the technology of computers and I can not appreciate that way. But I have a strong interest in the use of internet. This is a great invention of technology and I enjoy this. Practically speaing, the internet has really decrease the size of the world. From going to shopping, meeting people, going for education to just hanging around has come just in the form of a click today. Hence this technology; internet, is a great source of fun as well as information. This also saves a lot of our time that we spend in doing all these things in the previous days.

It was only one month ago that I struck in the net of love. I was not at all understanding what this love meant. But it was a month before that I did something that I can never believe with myself. I proposed a girl and she is now my girl friend! We talk a lot in the phone but we never had a good time together. So yesterday, I asked for a dinner and fortunately, she accepted the request. We went to a moderate type of restaurant and we order for a good meal. I was so excited that day and enjoyed a lot at the dinner with her. But it was an embrassing when I knew that I had forgotten my wallet in the trouser I were wearing before. I did not understand how to behave there but she was so understanding that she stood up to pay. The dinner I had last night is something I can never forget.

Fire extinguishers are becoming an ever-familiar component of the urban landscape. Few office buildings are equipped. And few houses are unadorned especially with discount fire blankets. But in the ever-increasing pervasiveness of the fire extinguisher, will the result defeat the overriding intention? After all, fire extinguishers are meant to serve a simple purpose: equipping people with a means to extinguish fires. As we see them more and more, and grow used to being always around one, will we ultimately forget their very existence? Will we, in a word, grow fire-extinguisher “blind,” and in the process, panic and flee in situations where fire demands we find them and discharge their contents? That is to say, will we ultimately become so acquainted with them in our environments that we’ll give them so little thought as to miss them when we need them?
