The effects of the recession haven’t really hit me yet. I am a student who depends on my parents, both of whom are lucky enough to be flourishing in the economy. My dad owns his own painting business, and even though it’s a bit of a vanity, people still feel the needs to paint their houses/bedrooms. My mom actually got a new job as a receptionist at a hospital. Not only does it pay better than her old job, it gives everyone in the family health insurance, and she only works part time! Also, my dad won the lottery, so that’s nice.
